Mexico 2006 Elections Binational Study Workshop
March 5 - 6, 2004
This is closed to the public.

The purpose of this meeting will be to finalize plans for a major survey research project on Mexico's 2006 presidential race, building on the success of a similar project in 2000. At the working group meeting, we will divide up key tasks among core members of the project team, with an eye toward submitting a complete proposal to the National Science Foundation and other potential funders in late summer. The project will examine “issue emergence” during Mexico's 2006 presidential race. An appealing feature of the 2006 campaign is the fact that it will be conducted binationally, as Mexicans living in the United States will soon be permitted to vote. The main purpose of the working group meeting at Harvard will be to define this intellectual agenda and convert it into an operationally feasible project.
