The Weatherhead Center disseminates a number of high-quality scholarly papers each year through its Working Paper online database collection. The Center seeks substantial research papers containing new analysis and/or new empirical material. Manuscripts are assessed on the basis of their scholarly qualities—the extent of original research, the rigor of the analysis, the significance of the conclusions—as well as their relevance to contemporary issues in international affairs.
Weatherhead Center Faculty Associates, as well as graduate students, visiting scholars, Fellows, and affiliates, are encouraged to submit papers to the Working Paper Series.
Manuscripts should range between 25 and 80 double-spaced pages and must include an abstract of 150 words or less. Authors should forward an e-mail attachment in Word to the Publications Department at publications@wcfia.harvard.edu.
The author retains the copyright on each Weatherhead Center Working Paper. The author is solely responsible for the final editing of accepted papers but can choose to have the Publications Department copy edit the final draft.
To inquire about submitting a manuscript for online publication, or for a list of Weatherhead Center Working Paper titles and ordering information, please contact the Publications Department at 617-496-8774, publications@wcfia.harvard.edu.
