Students and friends of Samuel P. Huntington have established a prize in the amount of $10,000 for the best book published each year in the field of national security studies. The book can be a work of history or political science, or a work by a practitioner of statecraft. In the event the prize committee judges that in a given year no book meets the high standards set by Samuel P. Huntington, no prize will be awarded.
