Political Violence and Civil War Seminar
This is open to the public.

The Workshop on Political Violence and Civil War is meeting for the third time in 2007-2008. The workshop brings together scholars from the Harvard and Cambridge communities working on issues related to political violence, including revolutions, coups, civil wars, ethnic conflict, terrorism, and failed states. One objective is to develop a cohesive set of scholars focusing on related research. A second objective is to provide direct training to advanced graduate students working in the field. Robert Bates, Eaton Professor of the Science of Government and of African and African American Studies, and Monica Duffy Toft, associate professor of public policy, John F. Kennedy School of Government, co-chair the workshop.
