This seminar is co-chaired by Professors Jorge I. Domínguez, Steven Levitsky, and Visiting Professor Frances Hagopian of the Department of Government. In monthly meetings, participants discuss their research on issues related to Latin American politics. Covering a range of topics including political economy, civil conflict, regime change, and democratic institutions, the seminar is designed particularly to provide a forum for graduate students to present and receive feedback on their scholarly work. The seminar also includes occasional presentations by visiting faculty whose research is of particular interest to students.
