# Conference on International Economics ## March 19 and 26, 2021 (virtual) **This conference is closed to the public.** The international economy has been in constant turmoil since the great recession, producing shifts in fortunes of many countries. These changes have been driven by new developments in international trade and international finance. In response, scholars have embarked on new research that seeks to understand these developments on the one hand and develop suitable policy responses on the other. The three conveners edited the previous volume of the *Handbook of International Economics*, which was published in 2014. They are now working on a new volume of the handbook, which will report new developments that were not previously covered.
