November 6, 2026
This event is closed to the public.
The upcoming book, with the working title Extraordinary Violence, Ordinary Life: Politics and the Social Rules of Peace, focuses on the role of political elites in shaping social norms around interethnic relations on the ground and on what factors incentivize ethnic elites to tone down divisive rhetoric and behavior and promote less antagonistic interethnic relations.
