### For Harvard and non-Harvard postdoctoral scholars.

Pending approval from the University, a few postdoctoral fellowships are offered each year by the Program on US-Japan Relations for the study of issues in US-Japan relations, Japan's relations with other countries, and domestic issues that bear on Japan’s international behavior.

## Awards and Benefits

The stipend is $70,000, and the Postdoctoral Fellows are offered shared office space at the Center and access to Harvard facilities.

## Who Is Eligible

Awardees must complete all requirements of their doctoral degree to receive a fellowship. If a successful applicant has not already earned a PhD at the time of his or her application, the applicant's advisers must submit a formal letter to the effect that he or she "has completed all the requirements of the PhD" by **August 1**.

## Terms

Postdoctoral Fellows reside at the Center and, in addition to their own work, participate in the activities of the Program on US-Japan Relations.
