Matthew Desmond, the John L. Loeb Associate Professor of the Social Sciences and Faculty Associate at the Weatherhead Center, recently published *Evicted: Poverty and Profit in the American City*. Told through the stories of eight families in Milwaukee's poorest neighborhoods, the book details America's extreme poverty and economic exploitation, and offers new ideas to solve this crisis.
