#  WCFIA Faculty Associate Orlando Patterson Wins 2016 Anisfield-Wolf Book Award

Orlando Patterson, the John Cowles Professor of Sociology, was awarded the 2016 Anisfield-Wolf Lifetime Achievement Award. The Anisfield-Wolf Book Awards recognize books that have made important contributions to the understanding of racism and the appreciation of the rich diversity of human cultures. Patterson edited *The Cultural Matrix: Understanding Black Youth* in 2015.
