He will share his experiences from the 2023 elections, as well as his thoughts on their implications for Nigeria's larger democratic development. Professor Olupona will add his thoughts on the subject as well, based on his recent trip to Nigeria.</p><h3>	Speaker Bio:</h3><p>	Darren Kew is a Professor in the Department of Conflict Resolution, Human Security, and Global Governance at the McCormack Graduate School, UMass Boston. He is also the Executive Director of UMass Boston's Center for Peace, Democracy, and Development (CPDD). His area of research expertise includes Civil Society and Transnational  Civil Society Development, Conflict Resolution and Promoting Democracy in Africa (especially Nigeria), International Security and Crisis Intervention in Africa, International Negotiation, and Nation-building. He has authored and Co-authored several books and articles, one of which is his book titled "Civil Society, Conflict Resolution, and Democracy in Nigeria".</p>
