SUMMARY:Friday Morning Seminar in Culture, Psychiatry and Global Mental Health
DESCRIPTION:
Panel on Ethnographic Writing

This session explores ethnography as a way of thinking, asking, and writing. Bringing together ethnographers of different conceptual and geographical interests, the session contemplates ethnography as genre. A particular focus will be on experiences that cannot necessarily be represented—from hauntings to wildfires and subjectivity—and thus pose both challenges and openings for ethnographic writing.

Speakers

Felicity Aulino, Associate Professor of Anthropology, University of Massachusetts Amherst.

Robert R.
