AN ASSEMBLY TO HELP LAUNCH THE BENAZIR BHUTTO LEADERSHIP PROGRAM
The daylong assembly will examine what it means to lead in the Muslim world and reflect on what Benazir Bhutto might have been able to accomplish under today’s circumstances as Pakistan’s prime minister. A goal for the day is to develop a plan to support Muslim students at Harvard through fellowship support, co-curricular activities drawing on Benazir’s HR ‘73 classmates, and public education to a wider audience.
ClassACT HR ‘73 has launched the Benazir Bhutto Leadership Program to create positive change by supporting promising individuals from predominantly Muslim countries who have a proven commitment to the principles our classmate, Benazir Bhutto, espoused—democracy, equality for women, reconciliation of religious and cultural differences, and education for all without gender or religious bias.
