The Weatherhead Center Undergraduate Thesis Conference was held on February 1–2, 2018, and featured a series of panels chaired by Faculty Associates and other Center affiliates. Clustered by regional or disciplinary themes, each student’s presentation was followed by questions, commentary, and feedback for the enhancement of their thesis work in its final stages. Cengiz Cemaloglu presented “Capitalist Ethics of the Halal Economy: Islamic Banking in Malaysia” during a session entitled “Islamic Economics, Education, and Health.” Seated on the panel, from left to right, are fellow Undergraduate Associates Iman Masmoudi, Junius Williams, Kamran Jamil, and Graduate Student Associate Rabiat Akande, who chaired the panel.
