**This seminar is open to the public.**

The Seminar in Economic Development is a weekly lecture series organized jointly by economists at Harvard and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) to cover a wide range of topics in the field. Economists based in the Boston area and at universities and institutions around the world are invited to present their work in the seminar. Faculty members and graduate students from neighboring universities regularly attend, and the seminar is open to the general public.

Graduate students in development economics who are about to complete the PhD program at Harvard or MIT and enter the job market also present their work in progress during the fall semester. The papers presented are available before each talk and are usually posted on the Harvard and MIT websites for the seminar.

The Seminar in Economic Development, local and distant, is organized by development economists at Harvard and MIT, students, and faculty members.
