In her new book, by drawing upon her experience in international conflict resolution and on insights from evolutionary biology, psychology, and neuroscience, Donna Hicks analyzes the essential elements of dignity, describes how to recognize and respond to violations of dignity, and explains why leaders must understand the concept of dignity to restore the safety and humanity that are lost through protracted conflict.
