The Fall 2024 issue of Centerpiece highlights recent activities at the Weatherhead Center, including events, publications, awards, and more. Weatherhead's executive director, Erin Goodman, shares Center updates in the Message from the Executive Director column. Our annual feature, Dispatches: Undergraduate Researchers in the Field, includes the summer research experiences of four students. This year's essays center around students who traveled to Jamaica, the Republic of Georgia, Rwanda, and India. Our second feature is an excerpt from our fall Jodidi Lecture, delivered by Mercy Corps CEO (and Harvard alumna) Tjada D'Oyen McKenna. McKenna spoke about the inextricable links between climate change and conflict around the world—and how both pose threats to our shared humanity. We also include updates on our student programs, including the inaugural Herbert C. Kelman Fellows, along with an exciting new global scholars network that is the result of participation between our Weatherhead Research Cluster on Identity Politics and the Senator George J. Mitchell Institute for Global Peace, Security and Justice.

We do so by supporting cross-disciplinary collaborations through our six research clusters; welcoming visiting affiliates from all over the world and from different ideological backgrounds; and striving to organize events and activities that are balanced in their collective viewpoints...
